1930's Dinner Gown & Cape E30-744
E30-744; 1930's Dinner Gown & Cape
Advanced 5-piece pattern.
Fullness is provided for the bust with double darts and cinching at the center front where the cape threads through. A line of elastic is sewn into the upper edge of the un-structured bodice back to hold it in place. The cape may be worn on or off the shoulders and a godet adds fullness to the otherwise close-fitting bias skirt.
Suggested fabrics for this design are: Silk charmeuse, double-sided silk satin, 4-ply crepe, georgette, rayon, lame, velvet or wool crepe.
This pattern is for the more advanced sewer as instructions are very basic and lightly illustrated. They are not depicted in a step-by-step manner.
3/8" seams are given.
