   15-piece pattern Originally by McCall's, the side-tie dress is in full or shorter length. View A is full length with boned, strapless bodice for evening and View B is with straps and without boning for day in shorter length. 5/8" seams are allowed. 17-piece pattern originally by Simplicity, 'The smartly simple (shirtwaist) dress has a gored skirt and a waist that is tucked at the lower edge.  Style I has an ever-flattering V-neck (without collar) and short sleeves.  Style II has a notched collar and three-quarter sleeves.  The redingote, tucked at the shoulder front, has princess lines at the back forming an inverted pleat at the back waistline'.  Note: the dress and redingote are the same length. 3/4" seams are given at underarm (all side) seams and 1/2" seams are given on all other edges.   Advanced 5-piece pattern, design originally by McCall. I draped to create this pattern, as I did not have the original at the time. This is an advanced design for the evening gown with back stays and sash in self or contrasting fabric.  The bodice is cut on the bias and the skirt may be cut bias or on straight of grain.  3/8" seams are given.
