1930's Sports Coat C30-4972
C30-4972; 1930's Sports Coat
10-piece pattern for the single-breasted sports coat with three-button closing, belted back, bi-swing pleats at back of shoulder and pleated front pockets.
This jacket style has the on-bias shoulder seam which was seemed more comfortable and better draping to wear in the early 1900s.
5/8" seams are given.
The jacket is shown with 1934 wide leg trousers T30-1141 and 6-fold neck tie Acc30-519.
The jacket in the photo is from this pattern. The costumer simply changed the back due to time constraints of fitting and constructing the belt. She also opted to create patch pockets with flaps, as opposed to the open-top pleated pockets per the pattern.
