1927 Dresses D20-5002

D20-5002; 1927 Dresses

18-piece pattern originally by McCall, this dandy pattern is not only for the darling dress with two sleeve options, but also has you covered with the cami to go underneath. After all, who DOESN’T want an entire wardrobe included when buying a 1920’s pattern?? The dress may also be worn sleeveless and cut all in one or in two-contrasting fabrics for a very dynamic frock with dropped waist belt and bows detail over the shirring of the center front part of the skirt. I think the little ribbon-width sleeve ties are not unlike wearing dainty wrist corsages, an embellishment The McCall Pattern Company ran with clear into the 1930’s!

Don’t you just WISH we could just run out and purchase the transfer patterns, as they did then?? In lieu of being able to do that, I have furnished this pattern with how-to for the embroidery stitches and embellishments demonstrated here to include a vintage fabric flower pattern.

This pattern is for the more advanced sewer as instructions are very basic and lightly illustrated, they are not depicted in a step-by-step manner.

3/8" seams are given. This garment is fitted closely at hip.

Size:

Size 18 fits 36" bust, 30" waist, 39" hip.

PATTERN NOT IN YOUR SIZE? Because this is a single-size pattern, an additional schematic showing where to adjust the pattern pieces with instructions on how to go about it is included.
