D30-2636; 1938 Frocks

11-piece digitally-drafted pattern originally by Simplicity, 'Style I has V-neckline with pointed collar. Bodice gathers on high waistline to yoke. Short sleeves finished with a band. Twelve-gored skirt joins to lower edge of yoke.  Style II has square neckline and short sleeves finishes with pleating'.

Suggested fabrics are for Style I: Eyelet batiste, taffeta, rayon, silk and cotton crepe, triple sheers, or flat crepe.  For Style II: Dimity, dotted Swiss, printed muslin, sheer cotton, eyelet batiste, lace, taffeta, rayon and cotton crepe, triple sheers or flat crepe.

1/2" seams are given.

Sizes:

Size set A fitting 14-20 (32" to 38" bust, 26" to 32" waist, 35" to 41" hip).

Size set B fitting 40-46 (40" to 46" bust, 34" to 40" waist, 43" to 49" hip).
