Sp30-6790; 1936 Swimsuits
19-piece pattern originally by Butterick for the bathing suit in two styles. Separate halter and shorts or attached skirt and under shorts. Detachable tie-on skirt may also be worn as a cape.
3/4" seams are given at underarm (all side) seams and 3/8" seams are given on all other edges.
RECOMMENDED FABRICS: VIEWS A, C and D – Wool jersey, tie silk, satin, novelty cottons, sateen or challis prints with under shorts of wool jersey. VIEW B – shorts and under shorts in light-weight wool jersey with halter in silk crêpe or same fabric in contrast. VIEWS E and E-1 – Wool jersey, cotton, sateen, or challis prints with cape or skirt plain fabrics or those to harmonize.
Sizes:
Fits 14-40 (32" to 40" bust, 26" to 34" waist, 35" to 43" hip).
