Just a little inspiration in the way of more extant examples paired with EvaDress Patterns!
Sew the look using EvaDress Pattern E20-6632, a 1929 Evening Frock with uneven hem and Scarf:
This is an 8-piece hand-drafted pattern originally by Beyer's. The handkerchief hem of the skirt is actually an effect via a drape panel that is sewn in at the geometric dropped waistline. The hip is closely fit with a pin-tucked girdle across front and back.
This pattern is for the more advanced sewer as instructions are very basic and lightly illustrated, they are not depicted in a step-by-step manner.
3/8" seams are given.
Below, you see a model I created in transparent silk/rayon satin. I refer to it as my 'Absinthe Frock', for it's green hues! Photo: Cynthia DeGrand
