4-piece pattern originally by German Beyer's Modenblatt, the dress closed with 6 buttons down the front and was sewn at the center the rest of the way to the hem. I have given it 9 buttons leaving the front edges free and finished with a front facing. An optional belt fastens to the dress at the front via buttonholes at each end to fasten at the front waistline button. The neckline is cut out and shaped and bodice is fitted at the front armhole and front and back waistline with darts. 5/8" seams are given.

Since her input about the front facing not being wide enough to clear the neckline cut-out, I added a note on the pattern to narrowly hem the inside facing edge to just 1/4" rather than the original 5/8" advice.
